The University of Melbourne sort the help of Reliable Plumbing to fix an aging, leaky roof built in the 1970s that contained hazardous materials.
The building was exposed to public street frontages on three sides of the building envelope, so effective site safety procedures were necessary as it was a high-risk, public area. Our team firstly conducted a thorough assessment and recommend an effective, long-term solution for the aging roof; to remove and replace the 665m2 roof and associated flashing with Colorbond cladding.
The project was also subject to multiple stakeholders and involved managing external subcontractors such as Hazmat, Asbestos Removalists and Traffic Management including crane operators.
